About Me
My name is Jessica Lemos Calvert. I'm a University of West Florida graphic design graduate, with a special focus in marketing. From the moment I picked up a pencil as a child, I knew that creating art was my passion. Whether drawing characters for people and watching their faces light up, or jotting down crazy stories, creative engineering has always been a clear goal of mine. Combining my love of visual imagery and story-telling, I began working as a graphic designer in 2016. When deciding on subject matter, I’m inspired by the diversity and passion of individuals. People are my favorite subject, whether working in photography, paint, pen, or digitally. I  specifically enjoy reaching people through graphic design. The goal I have when I create something is to help morph people's abstract ideas and dreams into a visual reality. I thrive when I am getting feedback from clients, as it is a positive motivator to know that I am working hard to help someone see their goal reached. If my art can make someone smile, or effectively guide someone to a new experience, I feel accomplished. I currently work as an Illustrator for the Shenandoah Film Collaborative and a freelance graphic designer. I am open for commissions and would love to help you create something magnificent!
